Reading the strat on Bosskillers, they say that getting the Suppressors down as the very highest priority is vital, even above Blazing Skeletons.

We need significantly higher DPS to play with that concept. Lay Waste really REALLY hurts. You can kill all the suppressors you want. If the skeletons splatter half the raid, you ain't freeing no dragon.

We came, we saw and healed her ass back to full health. Could have done better as at the end since we lost a tank and I still think we could do with more healers. I'd say 1 more outside and 1 inside so perhaps have 2 dpsers with a healing offspec change and assist.

Another thing I'd like to suggest is something class related. If we have 2 or more Paladins in the raid its a very good idea to keep Sacred Shield on both tanks and place a HoL hot before going in the portal since that hot can keep up a tank especially when its ticking for 10K+ every 2 or so seconds.

It was quite good to finally see her renewed. I just have to get one thing out of my system:
Rant It's a SKELETON! A BLAZING SKELETON! There's NOTHING MAGE about it! Rant
It irks me almost as much as my colleagues talking about an MSB bit.

How do you know his/her former job wasn't as a mage? We don't strip other people of their names/job titles just because they happen to be dead now...  Roll Eyes

Maybe he was an imp in a former life; they also do fireballs. How about wel call mobs by their given name to avoid confusion? Smiley

I'm guessing the expresso's were doubles this morning and that's why you are all a tad psychotic :-)

I'm just having my first coffee at the moment so I will join in shortly!

Actually, this was a left over from last night. Smiley Besides: I don't drink coffee nor espresso. I heard it can give you red hair, and that's about the last thing I'd want.

While Sonates rant is funny and probably fueled by a lack of or too much coffee/cake/fish/whatever  - He is right and we should be trying to get our terminology right, the "mages" in this fight are the job of our rogues and mages. I apologise somwehat for this confusion as when we started I think i reffered to them as mages once or twice.

So just to recap the names of the mobs

Blazing skeletons ("skellies" to us)
Should be announced on vent with a quick "skellie, left side front"

Risen Archmages ("mages")
no need to announce on vent, rogues and mages should switch to them and interrupt instead of aoe, the only higher priority target is a skellie

Blistering Zombie ("Zombies")
should be aggro'd by hunters asap and kited/killed by ranged, preferably nowhere near the raid

The other stuff does not need announcing, and if we do wish to announce suppressors there is no need to say which side, they come to both sides at the same time

The strategy we used last night was:
DPS: nuke the adds hard all the time - use the priority kill list
Hybrid DPS: Try and get as much healing on her in between waves at the start
Healers: grab 25-30 stacks, call for hero with about 2 mins left load her up with healing buffs and go to town on the boss. By this stage the boss was already 80%+ because the DPS had been good, hybrids had helped and the portal healers had used their stuff sensibly

Even though we lost a tank @ about 93% we survived with a lot of cooldowns and some massive heals form the healers

Anyone got a log would be cool to see the healing graph on thsi fight and compare heals
