So how do you heal and what spells do you use most? Obviously different for raid healing and tank healing.

Tank Healing:

PW:S (if not up)
ProM (if not on cooldown)
Penance (if not on cooldown)
Flash Heal until my other spells are off cooldown.

I guess that is kind of a healing rotation Tongue

Don't usually use renew these days, though I try to throw it on offtanks.

Raid Healing
I spam PW:S on as many as possible, use ProM and penance when up.
Flash heal when PW:S isnt enough. Let the real raid healers fill the bars back up mostly Tongue

PoH only on specific fights (e.g XT)

Favourite Spell:
PW:S, spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam

Least Favourite Spell:
Greater Heal. Too slow, heals for too much. Tis a sad day indeed.

It really depends on the context and on the tank.

Also in known fights the damage pattern (in the lack of a better word) is important to my timing of healing.

For 5 man heroics i rarely need more than PoM and glyphed renew.
For any aoe dam I have CoH and, I personally like PoH, slow Aoe heal but nice if you know the damage pattern, ie. no major spikes suspected right after AoE dam.

In 10 man, CoH and renew, if i know the dam pattern, GH on tanks works for me but requires timing and a good feel for the combat.

In 25 man, pretty much the same but depends a bit on the other healers. Fx in OS25 the group pulls of 4 or 5 dragonids. Here the tank will, in my experience recive ALOT of dam 5 sec or so after the pull, i try to time a GH to hit him just about there.

My healing is perhaps a little different in that I dont use ANY addons at all. I like the challenge of doing it "old school" so no decursive or healbot for me.

Fav spell: PoM, clearly, love the yellow laser ! I do like GH though Smiley
Least: mmm...binding heal, flash heal

Tank healing - i just spam gheals, while throwing in renews and PoMs occasionally. I try not to cast fheals unless i get instacast proc and have nowhere else to spend it on. If tank is about to die i prefer to PW:S/GS.

During Raid healing i find myself spamming a lot of fheals, bheals and PoM/CoH Smitten and after i get that holy haste buff i try to find a worthy grp for a PoH. Usually i fail though - can't get used to that haste thingie.

I tend to forget 1) to renew ppl around me, 2) to use Inner Circle early, 3) to use all those big cd stuff - hymn and that regen thingie.

Disc, so tank healing mostly

PW:S if it's up, first priority.
PoM if it's not up - I have PoM tracker and love it (it's awesome for Sapph and Malygos-vortex). If I can see it's expired, or bounced off to someone unlikely to proc it, I'll recast on the tank.
Renew (I use more than Kam, probably a legacy of being a TBC-tree)
Pennance, if it's off c/d and not being saved for something else (I don't pennace tanks at KT, I prefer to save it for frost blasts, for example)
Flash heal everything else unless I'm getting a pasting in which case, Binding Heal instead.

GHeal's fairly situational. I tend to only use it after PW:S so it gets the haste boost, and if possible I try to Inner Focus it, GHeal crits give sweet Divine Aegis shields.

If I can spare the global cooldowns I'll try and sneak some dots onto the tank's target, especially Devouring Plague if I think I'll be taking aoe damage.

I usually get put on raid healing, which is my favourite job. I don't use any addons apart from Grid and DBM.

My usual method is to start with a riptide on either the tank or a specific individual if they're crucial to the fight and then go crazy on jesus beaming folk.

If I'm healing a sole target then it's alternating between riptide, lesser HW and HW where necessary.

In Sunwell about 90% of everything I did was Chain Heal. These days CH is down to about 50%, the rest being made up with earth shield, healing waves and riptide.

Fave spell is still Chain Heal, least favourite spell... I dunno, Sentry Totem? I don't really have a least fave.

The rotation for druids are quite a bit more straight forward as we just like to keep hots up as much as possible, and if we got time over we spam nourish... Is there another way to play resto druid?  Crazy If we got something yummy like several tanks to keep up at the same time I just make sure LB is up on as many as possible at all times, after that I go for rejuvenation and regrowth in that order

Unless it's hard hitting bosses where I need to spam to keep tanks up I keep aoe hots up to help raid too. And raid healing just plain suxx, either we wanna hot stuff and a priest just insta heals them and our hot goes to waste, or we need to throw a nourish which will be sooooo weak since it needs our hots on the target to heal properly

Think main difference with healing direct heals and hots would be that we need to have our spells in place before the dmg is actually taken, otherwise we'd always be behind with heals

Fave: Seed of Corruption... Still Smiley
Least: Healing Touch, slow but huge heal with less hps then a proper nourish

Yeah, as Volbel pointed out, this is exactly what I've done when playing as a tree. It's a little minigame keeping all hots up :-) and when the tank starts to take a lot of damage I spam nourish.

Got a little taste of raid healing on Sappiroth and found it a bit more difficult. Just had time to cast Rejuvenation on everyone and decurse. So haven't really figured out how to be effective at that yet.
