All members wanting to come on ASGA raids (not 5-mans) will ideally pass a minimum ready to raid (r2r) set of stats. These are in place to make sure that people have done a decent amount of 5-man runs after hitting level 70 and have a good set of gear for their main role to start with. We started this system originally after we had trouble with people new to lvl 60 who didn't know how to play their class or how to work in groups well and/or who came along in very low level/bad gear. The stats can be tough to get sometimes, but it is all possible with 5-man instance drops. If you are having trouble, post in your class forum listing your gear and people are usually happy to offer advice.
We don't expect everyone to be perfect or some uber-player, especially on the first few runs. Learning is part of raiding and there is nothing wrong with making a mistake as long as you can see what went wrong and try to avoid it next time. Everyone started from the beginning at some point and almost everyone understands that it can be confusing or hectic the first time. Two very important things to try and get used to are
Aggro management and the
Main Assist but again we don't expect you to do them perfectly from the start. They are useful things to practice in 5-man groups though if you go in-guild or with friends (random PuG people don't like spending the time to learn them in general) and you should notice how much easier things become using them.
The current r2r stats are -
WarriorRoguePaladinMageHunterWarlockPriestDruidShaman (Not decided yet as we only have 1 Shaman

)
Normally it will say in a sticky in the class forums (or maybe in a gear sub-forum) how to apply to be r2r. This will just be replyign to a thread, or posting a new one. Please give all the details that are asked for as the class leader will need to know those to say yes or no. It is possible for them to say no even if you pass all the stats but that would only be for somebody with a very bad attitude and we have never had to do that yet. As long as you treat ASGA as a group of friends all helping each other rather than a public service there to help just you then you will be welcome to join us. We try to do things fairly but as with anything like this there are always circumstances where we have to tip the balance sometimes to avoid hitting dead-ends for months.
If you don't make the stats yet don't let it stop you signing up. We won't always be able to fill groups with just r2r people so spaces are available sometimes and if enough sign up there is no reason we can't do a full non-r2r group to Karazhan as long as everyone understands it might not go as smoothly as a r2r run.
